Issue / Question:
- Do we have to keep every customization we have in Cargas?
- How do I get rid of a customization that is no longer relevant to us?
- We no longer want to maintain a customization, how do we remove it?
Environment:
- Cargas Energy 2024.10 and Later
Resolution / Answer:
If you identify a customization that is no longer useful or that you don’t wish to maintain, you can request Cargas to remove it by asking to deactivate it.
- First, open the Cargas Energy Customization Center by navigating to Admin > Setup > Customization Center > Edit
- Locate the customization that you would like to deactivate using the top right search bar, next click 'Deactivate' under the Actions column.
By clicking 'Deactivate' a new email will open up from your prefered desktop email program. If you do not currently have one selected a windows prompt will ask you to select one.
The system will automatically generate a ready-to-send email request to our Cargas Energy Support team for the deactivation of the customization. You’ll only need to click 'Send.' The draft will include the following information:
- To: Cargas' SupportCentral
Subject: Deactivate Customization #: ____ noting which registered customization number is being selected
3. Body: Please deactivate customization #: 3 - Print Invoices Covered By Auto Payment. for ________ Co.
- Feel free to include any additional information or questions for the support team, if necessary, and then Click, 'Send'
- A new Zendesk ticket will be generated for your request and assigned to the support team for review and follow-up.
- To: Cargas' SupportCentral
