Issue / Question:
- How to make Bluetooth Blaster printer work with Mobile Delivery and Cylinder Exchange on an Android device
- Mobile Delivery won't connect to Bluetooth Blaster
- Cylinder Exchange won't connect to Bluetooth Blaster
Environment:
- Cargas Energy 2017 and newer
- Mobile Delivery
- Cylinder Exchange
- Android Device
- Cognitive Bluetooth Blaster
Resolution / Answer:
By default the bluetooth security settings on the Bluetooth Blasters are set so you have to pair the device and printer together at the device level. This means that you have to pair the tablet you are using with the printer that you want to use in the tablet settings.
Follow these steps below to pair a Blaster Printer with an Android tablet.
-
First you need to go into the Android's bluetooth settings. You can quickly get there by swiping down from the top of the screen and holding down on the Bluetooth Icon.
-
Then you will need to press on the Blaster's Bluetooth name. By default the name should start with DBD42.
-
Press the OK button when you are prompted with the Bluetooth pairing request
-
The printer will be paired with your tablet. You can see that the printer name is now under "Paired devices"
- Now you can go into Mobile Delivery or Cylinder Exchange and go through truck setup if you need to setup the printer with a truck in the app.
Cause:
- The default Bluetooth Blasters come default with security settings that require the tablet to be paired with the printer.
