Managing Promotions:
Admin-role and Power User staff manage promotions in the Admin Portal under Promotions > Promotion / Pricing Plans. The menu is available when Promotions Enabled is turned on under Settings > Promotions.
Customers see active promotions on the Current Promotions page. That page is available when Enable Promotions Page is turned on. The page title can be changed with the Current Promotions Page Name setting. Optional intro text comes from the Promotion Header content block.
Portal Marketing is a separate feature. A marketing entry on Account Overview can link a customer to a promotion, but the promotion itself is still created under Promotion / Pricing Plans.
Promotion Types:
Pre-Buy: For Pre-Buy promotions, the customer chooses an eligible tank, a gallon amount, and pays or submits a request.
Price Cap: For Price Cap promotions the customer can enroll an eligible tank at the cap for its tank size range, and pays or submits a request.
Fixed Price: For Fixed Price promotions, the customer chooses an eligible tank at the fixed price for its tank size range, and pays or submits a request.
Custom: Custom Promotions opens Contact Us with the promotion name as the subject and the contact message already filled in.
Promotion Methods:
The Promotion Method can be adjusted in Settings > Application, and applies to every Pre-Buy, Price Cap, and Fixed Price promotion. It can be set to Real Time or Email Only
Real Time: This lets the customer pay in the portal, and creates the pricing plan in Cargas Energy.
Email Only: This does not take a payment and does not create a pricing plan. With this setting the portal saves the request and emails the customer and the addresses set in the Promotion Enrollment To Address setting. This can be found in Settings > Email Setup. Staff can then create the plan manually in Cargas Energy.
