Resolution / Answer:

There have recently been two separate known issues with Mid:Com e:Count registers with firmware versions E300EA to E302EA. Here are the two issues below.

  • The first issue discovered was with new e:Counts that had new DS2 chips with firmware version E300EA on them. This issue is actually an issue with the physical DS2 chip plugged into the board behind the register door. These DS2 chips are causing printing issues. If you have an e:Count with firmware version E300EA on it and having printing issues then please contact Mid:Com for a replacement DS2 chip for this issue with the E300EA DS2 chip.

  • The second issue was discovered with the replacement DS2 chips with firmware versions E301EA and E302EA. This issue was a firmware bug where Mobile Delivery set the stage1, step down, trickle flow gallons to 31 gallons. The bug resulted in deliveries slowing down 31 gallons before the preset. If you have e:Count registers with firmware version E301EA or E302EA then please contact Mid:Com for assistance with flashing firmware E303EA or higher.
