How do I perform a pump and print delivery on an LCR2?

Issue / Question :

This article will provide instructions on how to complete a manual pump-and-print delivery through an LCRII register.

Environment:

  • Delivery trucks using LCRII meters

Resolution / Answer:

Since pump-and-print deliveries are not captured by the system and do not show on any server-side customer account, we would only advise performing a manual delivery as a troubleshooting step to rule out meter/printer communication problems. However, if a driver is out in the field and the device encounters a severe failure, a pump-and-print delivery can be performed as a workaround and those gallons will then need to be manually entered into the back office system.

To perform a manual delivery on an LCRII register:

  1. Fully close the Mobile Delivery application or turn off the tablet and wait one minute in order to ensure the integration is not running and there is no interference from the software.
  2. Ensure the register is cleared of any pending deliveries.
  3. Load a blank ticket in the printer
  4. Flip the knob on the LCRII to the RUN position
    1. If the knob is already in RUN, flip it down to STOP and then back to RUN
  5. The register should now kick over and allow the driver to engage the meter and pump fuel
  6. Once the delivery is complete, flip the knob to PRINT to manually end the delivery and print a meter block

If the driver is unable to perform a pump and print delivery, then there are hardware or connectivity issues with the register or printer. The driver will need to check all cable connections and power cycle the truck but if issues persist the truck may need to be examined by a local mechanic.
