My Cognitive Blaster Printer is Printing Extra Tickets

Summary:

If a Cognitive Blaster printer is producing extra delivery tickets after installation, you must run the Configure Printer option after setup, fully power-cycle the printer, and then begin your shift to stop the extra prints. In Mobile Delivery 2.0 the Configure Printer option is on the About screen (you may need to be shifted to see it). If the problem persists, follow the Knowledge Base article "How To Print A Blaster Configuration Ticket" for further troubleshooting.


 

Issue / Question:

  • I've completed a delivery and I'm trying to print a delivery ticket for the customer and one for us, but the printer is printing out extra sheets of paper?
  • My Blaster is printing extra tickets.

Environment:

  • Cognitive Blaster Printer

Resolution / Answer:

  • Ensure that you are using the recommended Blaster print media with perforated labels and black-bar marks on the backing to ensure the print sensor stops at end of label. More information can be found here: What is the Recommended Label Media (Paper) for the Cognitive Blaster Printer?
  • After installing a new Blaster Printer in a truck, upon completing setup you'll need to hit the configure printer button.

  • Once the configuration is complete fully power-cycle the printer, and then begin your shift.

Mobile Delivery 2.0:

The configure printer option is now located under the "About" screen. You might need to be shifted in order to see this option.
