Entering Your Domain and Username to Sign In to the Mobile Service App

This article explains how to correctly enter your domain, username, and password on the Mobile Service app login screen, and what to check and do if sign-in still fails.

Issue / Question

Users may be unable to sign in to the Mobile Service app because their domain and username are not entered in the format the system expects. The login screen has separate fields for Domain, Username, and Password, and small differences in how these values are typed (such as combining domain and username in one field, using the wrong domain format, or including extra spaces) can prevent successful login.

Your entries must match the values stored in your organization’s back-office or authentication system exactly, including letter case and spacing. This article explains how to enter your domain, username, and password correctly, how to check for common input mistakes, and what to do if you still cannot sign in.

Environment

  • Cargas versions 2020 or later

  • Mobile Service app

Resolution / Answer

To resolve sign-in issues related to domain and username format, make sure you enter each value in its own field (Domain, Username, Password), match your organization’s records exactly, and avoid combined formats such as domain\username in any single field. If sign-in still fails after you verify your input, contact your administrator or authentication provider to confirm or reset your account credentials.

Before signing in, confirm that:

  • The Domain field contains only your organization’s domain. The Domain will be everything in front of the backslash

  • The Username field contains only your assigned username.

  • There are no extra spaces before or after either value.

  • Your password has been entered correctly.

How Administrators Can Verify the Domain and Username

An administrator can verify the employee’s domain and username in Cargas Energy:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Setup > Employee Master.

  2. Search for the employee.

  3. Select Edit on the employee record.

  4. Confirm the username and domain assigned to the employee.

If the User Still Cannot Sign In

Cargas Energy does not store password information. If the domain and username are correct but the user still cannot sign in, contact your local IT department, system administrator, or IT provider responsible for managing the user’s credentials.

Additional Information

To avoid future sign-in issues:

  • Keep your domain and username information accessible but secure (for example, in a secure notes app or password manager, if permitted by your organization).

  • Always check for extra spaces when pasting values into the login fields.
