How to adjust the line feed spacing on an Epson TM-T88 printer

This article shows you how to adjust the line feed spacing on an Epson TM-T88 printer. Epson TM-T88 printers come default with what appears to be double spacing between lines causing the delivery tickets to be extra long. This is a setting on the printer that can be adjusted. Epson calls this setting Paper Reduction.

Steps:

*Note*   -  The Epson TM-T88v, Epson TM-T88vi, and Epson TM-T88vii all have different Utility Software. Please make sure that you are downloading and installing the correct one for your model printer. The software for each is similar but does look slightly different.

  1. First connect the TM-T88 printer to a computer and launch the Epson Utility software. Please follow this article below if you have not installed the Epson Utility software and setup the connection port yet.

  2. Epson TM-T88v - Select Paper Reduction from the main menu.

    Epson TM-T88vi  -  Expand Basic Settings > then select Storing Logos from the menu.

    TM-T88vii  -  Expand Main > Basic Settings > then select Storing Logos from the menu.

  3. Select your desired Line Feed Reduction Rate. Then click the Set button to apply the changes to the printer.

    TM-T88v 50% or 75%
    TM-T88vi Not Reduced or 25%
    TM-T88vii Not Reduced or 25%

  4. Finished, now you can exit out of the Epson Utility software.
