How do I pair a Brother PocketJet PJ663 to a Panasonic Toughpad?

This article will show you how to pair a Toughpad/Toughbook running Windows 8 64bit to a Brother Pocketjet 6 Plus via Bluetooth.

  1. Make sure the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack has been uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs. This is part of our installation procedure.
  2. In Control Panel, type Bluetooth in the Upper Right Hand search and then click Add Bluetooth Device
  3. Select the Pocketjet Printer and note the last 4 digits of the number shown on the printer.  This is your pair Passcode.
  4. Click Pair .
  5. Type in these last 4 digits to pair the printer to the device.
  6. Go back to Control Panel and select Devices and Printers .
  7. Right click on Pocketjet printer and choose properties.
  8. Click the Services tab. Note the COM port used for printer communication.
  9. Install the Brother driver. Be sure to pick Bluetooth pairing and then tell the driver which COM port was set up in Step 7.
  10. The driver will reboot the system. The printer will now be paired.
